This work has now been mainstreamed into London Borough of Hackney's road safety team. Many of the instructors whom we trained from scratch are now in direct employment with the local authority.

We continue to work in schools delivering family cycle clubs, Dr Bikes and cycle maintenance. We are based at Shacklewell primary school in Dalston, where we are developing an 'embedded' cycling programme, meaning that the school has made a commitment that all children coming into Year 3 will receive Bikeability Level 1 cycle training with the aim that by the end of Year 5 they will also have completed Level 2 cycle training (introduction to road cycling). The embedded training programme is supported by regular Dr Bikes for parents, children, teachers and support staff, together with access to affordable refurbished bicycles. The school is active in fundraising for family cycle clubs and other cycling-related activities.
